IIT JAM Notification 2025 – Joint Admission Test for Masters

The Joint Admission Test for Masters, or JAM, is a common online test used by premier institutes across the country to provide admissions to various postgraduate programmes such as M.Sc., M.Sc. (Tech), M.S Research, M.Sc.-M.Tech. Dual Degree, Joint M.Sc. – Ph.D., and M.Sc. – Ph.D. Dual Degree across multiple disciplines, as well as to consolidate Science as a career option for bright students.

IIT Delhi has released the official announcement for the IIT JAM exam 2025. This year, the computer-based Joint Admission Test for Masters (JAM 2025) will be held on Sunday, February 2nd, 2025. Interested and eligible applicants who want to pursue a career in basic science can apply online for this entrance exam.

Eligibility Criteria to Appear in JAM


Educational Qualification: The candidates who qualify in JAM 2025 must fulfill the following Eligibility Requirements (ERs) for admissions to IITs.

# Candidates should have passed an undergraduate degree or should be currently studying in their final year of undergraduate programme. Proof of having passed the qualifying degree with required eligibility, as specified by the Admitting Institute.
# Candidates promoted without a marksheet should produce a certificate stating the subjects studied in that semester/year duly signed by the Head of the Institute.
# Foreign nationals with Indian degree are eligible to apply, subject to policy of the Admitting Institute. 

It is responsibility of the candidates to prove that they satisfy the Minimum Educational Qualifications (MEQs) and Eligibility Requirements (ERs) for admission. 

Physical Fitness: At the time of admission, all admitted candidates will have to submit a Physical Fitness certificate from a registered medical practitioner in the prescribed form. The admitted candidates may also have to undergo a Physical Fitness test by a medical board constituted by the Admitting Institute. Admission is liable to be cancelled if a candidate is found physically unfit to pursue their chosen course of study.

# Section A: 1/3 of marks will be deducted for each wrong 1 mark answer and ⅔ of marks for 2 mark questions;
# Section B: no negative and no partial marking;
