Anundoram Borooah was the first public servant in Assam. In 2005, the Assam government created the Anundoram Borooah Award Scheme, named after him. In summary, this program is commonly referred to as the ARBAS scheme. Under the ARBAS plan, the government attempted to improve education by instilling competition among students, and students were also encouraged by this award scheme. This plan is one of the most successful and corruption-free schemes in Assam’s history, inspiring many students to excel in their HSLC exams.
