| Citizenship | Candidates must be Indian Citizens as defined in Articles 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India. |
| Residentship | The candidate must be ordinarily a resident of Assam. |
| Employment Exchange Registration | A candidate should be registered in a District Employment Office of Assam. |
| Educational Qualification | Candidates must be a Graduate in Arts , Science & Commerce with Economics /Statistics /Mathematics as one of the subject at degree level. |
| Desirable Qualification | Diploma in computer application. |
